Two huge charity events announced

Our ongoing support of Caudwell Children continues apace in 2016 with the announcement of two significant challenges being undertaken by our staff.

First up is the challenge to conquer the highest peak in Wales, Snowdon. Taking place in September, this challenge will see more than 50 Howarth Timber staff, suppliers and customers don their walking boots and raise valuable funds for the charity, which provides equipment, treatment, therapies and support for disabled children and their families across the UK.

In December, meanwhile, two of our staff – Imogen Howarth and Rob Bailey – will take on the mammoth task of cycling 400 miles along the Key West Florida coastline for Caudwell Children’s Destination Dreams initiative. The programme aims to take children who are fighting life-limiting illnesses and their families on a once-in-a-lifetime visit to Disney World.

Caudwell Children has been our charity partner for four years, with regular events and fundraising initiatives helping to raise more than £70,000.
