HOWARTH TIMBER'S CHARITY ACTIVITIES DRIVE FORWARD

Howarth Timber and Building Supplies recently raised more than £1500 for its chosen charity, Caudwell Children, thanks to two action-packed golf days in Manchester and Rotherham.  More than 90 Howarth Timber customers, suppliers and staff turned out in force over the two days to drive forward Howarth’s commitment to the charity, who they have a three-year partnership with.

Carl Davidson was the triumphant winner in Manchester, while John Ormroyd walked away with first place at the Rotherham event. The events even attracted a bit of glamour in the form of Life on Mars actor Dean Andrews, who was only too happy to lend a hand and assist the fundraising efforts.

Caudwell Children is dedicated to transforming the lives of disabled children and their families across the UK by providing practical and emotional support and Howarth has lent its support through a programme of planned fundraising activities, including dress down days, coffee mornings, a Three Peaks walk and bespoke darts and cricket events.

Phil Barman from Howarth Timber said: “We are delighted that the entire business has been so enthused from the very outset in a bid to raise as much money as possible for such a worthwhile cause.”

Trudi Beswick, chief executive of Caudwell Children, added: “This is the second year of a three year partnership with Howarth Timber and we feel honoured to be working with them right across the country.

The money raised is having a direct impact on the lives of disabled children and we can’t thank them enough for all of their support.”
