Howarth Timber named in Sunday Times Top 250

We are delighted to announce that Howarth Timber Group has been named in the Sunday Times Grant Thornton Top Track 250 – the league table that ranks Britain's private mid-market growth companies with the biggest sales.

The Top Track 250 includes companies with sales of between £115m and £630m, with profits of up to £100m, and we occupy position 158 on the 2016 league table.

The list of this year's Top Track 250 companies has been published in The Sunday Times business section and digital edition, and an awards event will be held at the Jumeirah Carlton Tower Hotel in November.

Representatives from Howarth Timber will also attend a series of Top Track alumni dinners in 2017.

Our entry into the Top Track 250 reflects the leaps forward Howarth Timber has made in recent years, and comes after our landmark 175th anniversary celebrations made 2015 one of our most successful years to date.

The marketing and PR campaign we delivered around the Howarth 175 celebrations helped us to engage with our stakeholders and elevate the position of our brand to new heights, and we are very proud to see our progress being recognised in the Sunday Times.

Neale Brewster, marketing and product development manager, said: “Every single member of the Howarth Timber staff deserves credit for our inclusion in the Sunday Times Top Track 250.

"We are a closely-knit team and we have all worked hard to take the business forward in recent years.

"We are glad to see the firm's profile on the rise and we look forward to continued success long into the future."
