Harrogate branch celebrates year of success

Customers at our Harrogate branch will be treated to offers, giveaways and tasty food at the store's blockbusting first birthday party on Wednesday 3rd August.

The branch boasts its own dedicated mill facilities and storage yard and has enjoyed a successful first year since opening its doors in August 2015, upholding our 176-year-old tradition of supplying quality products and services in the Yorkshire area.

The store's birthday extravaganza will give local builders, tradespeople and DIY enthusiasts the chance to pick the brains of experts from our suppliers, including Symphony, Velux, Weismann and Unilin, as well as the outstanding in-house service and customer support team that the branch has become known for during its first year.

Unique supplier offers will be available to everyone who attends the store on the day, and Howarth Timber t-shirts and baseball caps will also be given away.

Customers can enjoy free breakfast rolls from 8am to 10am, followed by a barbecue from 12pm to 3pm, while entertainment throughout the day is provided by DJs from Stray FM and local solo singer and acoustic musician, James Bright.

Our team will be flexing their vocal chords too as they take on representatives from their various suppliers and customers in Stray FM's Team Karaoke Challenge.

“We are very proud of what our Howarth branch has achieved in its first year,” said our marketing and product development manager, Neale Brewster.

"Harrogate has been very good to us and we have established great relationships with tradespeople and DIYers alike.

"The celebration on 3rd August is our way of saying 'thank you' for the welcome the area has given us, and a chance to share expertise and explore the many new possibilities that our timber products and building supplies are opening up for the industry."
