Heat Pumps
This type of energy is freely available and formed from solar energy which heats the ground and air, it is then converted for use in a heating system. In fact, up to 75% of the energy needed by the heating system is extracted from the environment, so the only energy required is electricity that drives the heat pump compressor.
Solar
Solar water heating systems use solar panels, called collectors that are fitted to your roof. These collect heat from the sun and use it to heat up water which is stored in a hot water cylinder. A boiler or immersion heater can be used as a backup to heat the water further to reach the temperature you want. Solar panel electricity systems, also known as solar photovoltaic’s (PV), capture the sun's energy using photovoltaic cells.
