TEMPORARY SCHOOL SPECIFIED WITH SUSTAINABLE CLADDING FROM HOWARTH TIMBER

The new temporary buildings that house Cambourne’s Third Primary School have been finished in Siparila Topcoat® timber cladding supplied by Howarth Timber & Building Supplies, making a visually dramatic yet environmentally sustainable statement to both school users and the community of which the school is a part.

The school building comprises four classrooms and office accommodation. Forming a 600 m2 facade, the horizontally applied cladding complements local architecture, and provides an aesthetically attractive and durable finish, visibly free from nails and other fixings. In less than six weeks from receipt of order, Howarth Timber supplied and delivered to site the low maintenance facade in a bespoke RAL colour, along with a broad range of specially manufactured joints, corners and finishes to ensure a perfect fit and so that the product retains its weather resistant properties.

One of a comprehensive number of cladding solutions from Howarth, Siparila Topcoat® cladding is low-maintenance, 100% recyclable and carries a 10 year manufacturer’s paint warranty. The school has been designed to be demountable and the cladded exterior will be reused once a permanent site for the school has been established.

Howarth Timber & Building Supplies is part of the Howarth Group, the UK’s largest privately owned timber company, and operates through a network of 28 merchant branches and several specialist businesses, including Howarth Windows & Doors and Howarth Timber Engineering.
