OFFERS ABOUND AT NEW HARROGATE STORE

Bathroom suites, building supplies, barbecues and bacon butties were all up for grabs during a week of offers to celebrate the opening of the new Harrogate branch.

The Howarth Timber ‘Big 5’ was a weeklong event that started on August 10th, and visitors to the newly opened branch on Claro Road in Harrogate were treated to a range of exclusive, never-to-be-repeated offers and giveaways throughout the week.

The event included the chance to win £5,000 in the Jack Challenge – a competition to see who can saw through a piece of wood the quickest – when the Howarth 175 Roadshow arrived in Harrogate on Wednesday August 12th.

The week kicked off with a day of deals and offers on Monday August 10th, when customers could receive free training from Paslode experts in the safe use of a range of power tools, and enter a prize draw to win a Paslode nail gun.

Insulation and plumbing was the theme on Tuesday 11th, with free entry into a prize draw to win a bathroom suite for every customer spending over £50.

Celebrity chef Jon Fell, who holds the world record for the largest scotch egg, joined the fun and served up tasty treats at the roadshow on Wednesday, and visitors who arrived at the store before 10am on Thursday 13th were treated to a free bacon butty!

Friday was kitchens day, and every customer spending over £50+vat entered into a prize draw to win a Caple appliance pack.

Throughout the week, Howarth Timber gave away free goody bags worth £100 for the first 20 customers who spent over £100+vat at the Harrogate store, and everyone who spent more than £50+vat received two free scratch cards that can unlock experience days and other amazing prizes.

The Harrogate branch, which boasts its own dedicated mill facilities and storage yard, upholds Howarth Timber’s 175-year-old tradition of supplying quality products and services in the Yorkshire area, which began when the company was founded just down the road in Leeds in 1840.

“The Harrogate branch of Howarth Timber offers one of the most competitive product ranges in the area,” said Marketing and Product Development Manager, Neale Brewster.

“We were very excited to welcome customers from in and around Harrogate for a week of exciting product demonstrations, training sessions, competitions and giveaways.”

He added: “We were especially pleased to welcome experts from some of the world’s leading suppliers of building products and materials, who delivered training and product demonstrations that added real value for our customers.”
