LOCAL MUSIC LIVE IS BACK, BIGGER AND BETTER
We're once again backing Local Music Live, the UK-wide search to find the next big thing in live music.
This year, our award-winning talent search will be even bigger and better, with more time for artists to submit their work, and with our favourite artist set to take centre stage at the prestigious Audio and Radio Industry Awards (ARIAs) in October.
Local artists and bands can now submit their music to localmusiclive.org for a chance to played on local music stations across the UK, including Fix Radio in London, Rock FM in Lancashire and the Lincs FM group.
After two months, our branches will select who they think is the best act from their local area, with Local Music Live and our judging panel choosing their overall favourite and providing a platform for them to put their music in front of a wider audience.
Our favourite act will have the chance to record a track at Redwall Studios in Greater Manchester, and shoot a music video with Leeds-based creative agency, Harris. But the biggest stage of all will be the ARIAs, which sees the biggest radio stars in the UK gather together for a star-studded evening at the First Direct Arena, Leeds.
Last year’s event was hosted by BBC Radio 1 DJ Scott Mills, and past performers have included Grammy-award winner Gregory Porter and former BRIT-award winners, the Kaiser Chiefs.
